How do I find the right lab?

1. Is the lab accredited?

To ensure that the lab results are accepted worldwide it is important that the lab is accredited. For this, the work processes must be transparent and reproducible, i.e. a QM system must be implemented. This ensures that the highest possible quality of results is guaranteed and that they are internationally accepted.
The food laboratories of the Tentamus Group are all ISO17025 accredited.

2. Are suitable (accredited) methods available?

As food products are extremely complex, other criteria besides the accreditation of the laboratory have to be taken into consideration. Is the method you need also accredited? And is it accredited for the matrix you have? Does the laboratory regularly participate in interlaboratory comparisons? And is the chosen method also the right one for your product or are the limits of quantification sufficient for you?

All these questions are not always easy to answer, but our experts will advise you on all these points so that you are on the safe side regarding accreditations, limits of quantification, etc.

3. Is the lab transparent?

If you want to work with a laboratory, visit it. If necessary, audits can also be arranged by your company. This way, you can directly examine the processes on site yourself.

6. How good and fast is the service?

The laboratory should meet the agreed turnaround times with you and communicate when they are delayed. In addition, the laboratory should also offer express testing for particularly urgent samples so that you receive your results as quickly as possible.
