Undeclared milk causes potential risks

Recent recalls by food manufacturers in the UK have once again drawn the attention to the correct (allergen) labelling of food.

Undeclared allergens, such as milk, can have serious consequences for allergy sufferer, which can also lead to death. Accidental cross-contamination can also cause damage to the health of the consumer. If a producer manufactures all his products in the same environment, the risk of cross-contamination is high.

In order to provide safe food, don’t put the consumers at risk and also avoid expensive food recalls, Tentamus recommends to regularly carry out allergen analyses and label checks.
