L.A.B. ENAC Accreditation Spain

LAB obtains ENAC accreditation for the Control of Organic Production Testing Program

ENAC (National Accreditation Entity) opens the year by granting the first accreditations for the “Testing Program for the Control of Ecological Production”.

L.A.B (Laboratorio Analítico Bioclínico) is one of the first 3 laboratories that has acquired ENAC accreditation for the organic production control test program in Spain. This is a result of L.A.B demonstrating its ability to fulfill market demands, as well as meeting official control requirements in this area.

This accreditation program (subject to NT-70.09) seeks out to comply with the organic production requirements according to European legislation. In order to support the marketing of organic products in various European markets, the criteria outlined in regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 will be met.

Spain currently devotes the most land to manufacturing organic goods of any country within Europe. Despite this, Spain is hoping to continue organic expansion going forward. This accreditation offers an opportunity for L.A.B to continue to improve its analytic methods. Therefore, as of now, L.A.B will offer its clients in the field of organic production the following accredited tests:

  • Pesticide residue tests for the control of organic production
  • Waste metal testing for the control of organic production
